Texas teen lugs 12-foot-high cross to White House

Junior Garcia has quite a cross to bear. In fact, it's 12 feet high and he's lugging it on his back from Texas all the way to the White House. The 19-year-old college student says the idea came to him on July 24, 2011, while attending a youth group meeting at a Saginaw, Texas, church. "That day, I decided to take up my cross," he says. "And I felt so strong in my heart. ... [I] felt like it was just time to get rid of worldly desires and focus on Him." Garcia, with his parents and church friends in tow, plans to complete his 1,369-mile journey next month, Lord willing.
