The boys in blue question Smurfs over alleged assault
1/9/2013Police in Australia have arrested four men who were dressed as Smurfs when they allegedly assaulted a man in a convenience store back in December after an argument about an unlit cigarette. The last thing the 37-year-old victim remembers is Papa Smurf asking him for a cigarette and ordering him to light it for him outside a 7-Eleven in Melbourne. The man was allegedly assaulted by the demanding blue characters soon after he refused. Police appealed for the gang of Smurfs to come forward on Tuesday and they obligingly turned themselves in. They've now been released but are expected to be charged with assault-related offences. Gargamel will not be happy. [Source]
