Kennel Club killjoys say dog dancing no good for pups

8/20/2012

If those hand-walking, rope jumping, back flipping dogs are the only thing keeping you tuned in to “America’s Got Talent,” bad news could be on the horizon. Over in the U.K. the Kennel Club, which regulates dog activities, has slammed the antics of dancing dog Pudsey and his owner who scooped first place on “Britain’s Got Talent,” and now it’s banning Kennel Club members from acts requiring pups to perform in “extreme” or “unnatural” positions. It claims that show-stopping moves like walking on front paws or doing the wheelbarrow are dangerous for the performing pooches --  it’s also outlawing those hilarious but “demeaning” costumes. Something tells us it won’t be long before those boringly humane ideas make their way across the Atlantic. [Source]
