Skip the after-dinner mint and grab this chocolate toothpaste instead

In the early nineties, Saturday Night Live did a classic sketch about a British toothpaste made with pure cane sugar. They were kidding, but a group of New Orleans-area scientists aren't when they say that chocolate toothpaste could be the best thing for your teeth. Theobromine, a chemical found in chocolate, has been proven to "strengthen teeth and regenerate enamel," and has become the basis for the active ingredient in a new toothpaste called Theodent. And, yes, it does come in a (kind of gross sounding) chocolate flavor. "Fluoride has been the gold standard in oral care for 100 years," Dr. Arman Sadeghpour said. "There hasn't been any substance to challenge fluoride in a century. That's crazy." No crazier than chocolate toothpaste.  [Source]
