Clean steal: Alleged thieves use stolen debit card to do their laundry
1/12/2013We’ve all made ridiculous purchases with our debit or credit cards. Maybe it was a pack of gum, or an extra half-hour on the meter. But if you’re going to steal a debit card you should, you know, go big — buy an iPad or a jet ski. (Yes, we know stealing is wrong; this is a hypothetical.) For two Florida thieves, they decided to go clean. Police in Tampa say that last month, a man and woman stole a wallet from an unlocked car and used the victim’s debit card to buy gas — and do their laundry. Twice. Police are on the lookout for the fresh-scented, stain-free perps. [Source]
