This is what happens when the accelerator's stuck

Hyundai executives, if you're still doubting the existence of sudden, unexplained acceleration in some of your vehicles, check out this video. Taken by a dashboard-mounted camera, the clip captures an elderly Korean couple's terrifying runaway-car experience, from the Sonata lurching forward from a dead stop to the 80 mph crash into a stopped car. Most disturbing are the woman's cries, which translate to "Oh my God, what's going on?!" and the moans after the airbags deploy.

The couple's son posted the video of the accident, which injured 17 people, to show the car's acceleration issues. Hyundai says it's investigating. We're hoping for a speedy recovery for these folks, who suffered serious injuries
