This lamb will be beheaded if it loses an Internet vote
4/26/2012Two deep thinkers at the Berlin University of Arts are apparently trying to teach us all something profound about democracy by asking the Internet to decide whether they should guillotine a lamb or not. Iman Rezai and Rouven Materne built their own instrument of death, and they claim if they get enough "ja's" on their site, die-guillotine.com, the poor beast will lose its head. Fortunately, with 21 days left, it looks like most of the votes have landed in the "nein" column, but the Internet can be a twisted place, so here's hoping it stays that way. (That said, we suspect the students are bluffing.) Incidentally, "twisted" is what German publication Bild called their idea, and their school has sought to distance itself from the stunt.
What do you think of this stunt?
