Macklemore's 'Thrift Shop' gets a makeover, goes 'Grandpa Style'
2/13/2013Seattle rap duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have scored a monster hit with "Thrift Shop," their catchy ode to Goodwill shopping that has topped the Billboard charts and already gone double platinum. And Tuesday's viral video hit is a "vintage" version of it, naturally, which they dub "Grandpa Style." (Yes, we like what you did there.) The Postmodern Jukebox Band has crafted an old-timey, Jazz Age arrangement of Macklemore and Lewis' rappy nostalgia hit, which earned more than 90,000 YouTube views in less than a day. Now if you could just go ahead and make a classy 1940s cover of "Harlem Shake," that'd be great. [Source
