Morons encouraged to tease tigers with sticks at Buddhist temple
9/11/2012The Tiger Temple is billed as a wildlife sanctuary at a Theravada Buddhist temple in Thailand. The temple has repeatedly come under scrutiny, though, and has been widely criticized for abusing the animals under its care. It's a place where tourists are unwisely allowed to engage with the tigers, including allowing them to stand in a pool and tease and strike the tigers with sticks. We have no idea which is more idiotic -- the temple, for allowing people to do this, or the tourists for, well, wanting to do it in the first place. [Source]
