Time-lapse footage makes air traffic look like a terrifying video game
12/2/2012Squint and you might think this is an air-raid scene from an epic World War II movie — until you notice these are modern passenger jets. In fact, it's a dizzying time-lapse composite video of overlapping planes landing at San Diego International Airport between 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Nov. 23. The video was painstakingly shot and pieced together by photography and film teacher Cy Kuckenbaker. As with any project of this kind, it sounds as if about an hour of production went into every second of the video. More power to you, Cy, and your technical magic.
