Consider this the real-life parental version of "Insomnia." Two parents from the Bronx are dealing with the exhausting reality that their daughter hasn't slept more than three hours at a stretch, since she was born, 18 months ago. Stella and Edgar Rivera's search for a diagnosis led them to doctors at two New York City medical centers. They've concluded that little Haley has a mild case of sleep apnea, as well as some behavioral issues — which can hopefully be ameliorated by scattering pacifiers around Haley's crib, so she can find another one more easily if hers falls out.
