Even toddlers don't want to deal with your whiny crap

Turns out toddlers are just as good at spotting a whiner as adults are. And they're just as likely to want nothing to do with someone crying for no good reason. Researchers in Germany studied this by having 3-year-old boys and girls interact with two adults. In each case, one of the adults would act upset, either over something real, like a minor injury, or something ridiculous, like not sharing. In cases of legitimate grief, children were much more likely to show sympathy and concern.
