1/14/2013The "wife auditions" that Tom Cruise allegedly held to find a bride included huge A-list stars like Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Alba and Lindsay Lohan. That's the claim of the new book "Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood and the Prison Belief," by Pulitzer Prize-winner Lawrence Wright, out this week. The book claims that Cruise allowed church figures to request the megastars read for a part in the "Mission: Impossible" series, but that there actually was no role — the reading was taped to establish whether Cruise would be compatible with each actress. Lawyers for Cruise and the Church deny the claims.
