Handcuffed and gagged pastor sheepishly calls 911 for a rescue

Sometimes silence says everything. The Catholic diocese in Springfield, Ill., won't explain why it granted a leave of absence to a pastor at the city's St. Aloysius church, though there's plenty of speculation as to what happened. On Nov. 28, Father Tom Donovan dialed 911 to report he had been playing with a pair of handcuffs and become stuck and feared a medical emergency, though it was hard to make out Donovan’s words, on account of his voice being garbled. Police reportedly found a gag in the pastor’s mouth when they discovered him in the church’s rectory. There has been no explanation as to how Donovan handcuffed and gagged himself. [Source]
