Conservative ex-congressman will keep promise to smoke a joint
1/26/2013Tom Tancredo, a conservative ex-Congressman, says he'll make good on a promise to comedian Adam Hartle. Despite his right-leaning views, Tancredo supported the law legalizing recreational pot use in Colorado. "If you really believe what conservatives say they believe — in less government — this is a perfect way to express that belief," he said prior to the vote. Tancredo now says that he never expected the amendment to pass, but now that it has, he'll make good on his word, and that it was less embarrassing than the dance Denver Mayor Michael Hancock had to do following his team's loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
