Hitchhiking artist gets a tattoo for every car that passes him by

Tony Weingartner is an artist just trying to thumb a ride. The only problem is, this hitchhiker is really feeling the pain of rejection every time a car passes him by. With his partner Chifumi at his side, Weingartner camps out on the side of a road, and whenever someone zooms past without picking him up, his friend whips out a tattoo gun and starts a permanent tally along his rib cage. As car after car neglects to give him a lift, he winces as a fresh hash mark is added. Someone finally stops, but he's left with 48 marks and a massive tattoo. A painful reminder that ultimately, hitchhiking just isn't worth it.
