Too-cool quadrotor gun blows stuff up in viral video
4/24/2012It's not as if video game publisher Activision was going to have difficulty selling units of the next title from its massively successful "Call of Duty" franchise, but a nifty piece of viral marketing never hurts. The company announced today that the name of the next "Call of Duty" game would be released May 1 during a TNT broadcast of an NBA playoff game. It also covertly posted a video to YouTube featuring a "prototype" military quadrotor with an automatic weapon attached to it that flies around shooting things, and is controlled by a tablet. Alas, it's fake, but the clever stunt has already amassed more than 700,000 views.
