Missing pet tortoise shows up 30 years later in family's storage room

The Almeida family of Rio de Janeiro hadn't seen their beloved Manuela in 30 years. They assumed she ran away when builders working on their home left the front door open. The idea that Manuela — who is a tortoise— could RUN anywhere is almost as crazy as the fact that Manuela has actually spent three decades living in a box in the Almeidas' storage room. The family didn't open  Lionel Almeida's locked door where he kept his repair projects until after his death; when they did, they were shocked to discover Manuela, sharing a cardboard box with a record player.
