Tot thought to be autistic just needed glasses, now in Mensa
5/2/2012Who needs a toddler playgroup when you've got Mensa meetings to attend? Emmelyn Roettger, who joined the high-IQ society at the age of 2, is the group's youngest member, with a full-scale IQ score of 135. Emme's acceptance into the elite society is a sweet victory for the gifted girl's parents, who were initially warned that their daughter had "unspecified delays" and might even be autistic. Emme's mother figured out that her child just needed glasses (we think Mom deserves a Mensa medal herself for that one). Once Emme could see, there was no stopping this outer-space-loving tot, who's simply super-smart -- and videos like this one of her reading at age 2 make us believe it.
How smart do you think you are?
