Tots get a head start on caffeine habit with babyccinos
2/16/2012That sippy cup is so last season. The hot new thing for the preschool set is the babyccino, a tot-sized cup of decaf espresso with a liberal amount of milk and foam. The drinks are surging in popularity with Brooklyn's under-10s and an increasing number of coffee shops are serving the off-the-menu item. "It's a little weird," barista Gemma Redwood told The Brooklyn Paper. "But we make it." Eater.com says the trend originated in Australia (make your own "A dingo ate my babyccino" joke), so you know who to blame when an amped toddler corners you near the napkin dispenser so he can tell you about his screenplay.
Would you give your kids a babyccino?
