'Traffic jam' in Senate ladies' room an unexpected sign of the times
11/15/2012We wouldn't usually cheer about a long line for a ladies' bathroom, but one such queue coincides with some pretty incredible progress. Speaking at the Washington Ideas Forum on Wednesday, Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) revealed that earlier in the day "for the first time, there was a traffic jam in the Senate women's bathroom ... there were five of us in there, and there are only two stalls." Because a record 20 women were elected to the Senate last week, Klobuchar will soon have to share her space with even more people. But she isn't annoyed; she added that she thinks it's "wonderful."
