8/2/2012Geek hearts worldwide have been set aflame with the release of a (nearly) 90-second trailer for the new season of British sci-fi classic "Doctor Who," which premieres on BBC America this fall. Newbies may very well be confounded by the dense "Doctor Who" arcana displayed in the clip — think Daleks, dinosaurs and weeping baby angels, just to get started — but all you really need to know is that star Matt Smith (as the doctor himself) looks as awesome as ever, and the trailer points to a kick-ass send-off for companions Amy and Rory, played by Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill.
