Trash man goes the extra stinky mile to find lost wedding ring
8/24/2012One trash man certainly proved to be another woman's treasure in New York City this week. On Monday morning, Danielle Hatherley Carroll realized she'd lost her ring after spending the previous day in Manhattan's Battery Park. She went back and, after an unsuccessful search, left a note on a nearby garbage truck, thinking maybe the ring had fallen off when she was disposing of some trash. Parks worker Gary Gaddist found the note, and even though there were hundreds of garbage bags, he searched the stinky load until he found the ring. When Carroll got the call, she said, "I was ecstatic, I started to cry. I hopped in a cab and raced down to meet him." Awww. [Source]
