Terrible person tries to make a turtle version of the movie 'Up'

Several Oceanside, Calif., residents were involved in a slow-speed rescue when they noticed a turtle had been taped to a handful of balloons and was stuck in a tree. When Chanelle Wright saw the tiny box turtle struggling to free himself, she called the authorities. Almost an hour later, the fire department arrived, but before they could get the ladder out, the wind had blown the turtle — and the balloons — safely to the ground. Although the little guy was unharmed, the cops are still searching for the person behind the turtle-launching. It was taken to the Humane Society, but Wright hopes she can give him a permanent, balloon-free home. "I'm going to call to see if [he's] there," she said. [Source]
