TV host wants to get rid of 'stupid' national anthem

Liberal talk show host Bill Press really went off on the national anthem on a recent show. Not only does Press call "The Star Spangled Banner" an "abomination" and "unsingable," — he's on solid ground on the latter point — but proceeds to eviscerate the lyrics. Fumed the one-time chair of the California Democratic Party: "Are we the only ones who are brave on the planet? I mean all the brave people live here. I mean it's just stupid I think. I'm embarrassed. I'm embarrassed every time I hear it." We've always been partial to "America the Beautiful."
