The Mayans were right. Those preparing for the Twinkie-pocalypse of 2012 will be relieved to know they can "homestead" their very own version of this icon of empty calories. OK, so homemade versions don't come in the cute little bag, but if a new company doesn't keep making real Twinkies , these DIY Twinkies are your only hope. Made with the help of a screwdriver and only slightly deformed, these home-crafted bad boys look almost good enough to eat.
