Twitter was not exactly moved by Lance Armstrong tearing up for Oprah
1/20/2013If disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong thought he might win some good PR sympathy yesterday with a few televised tears, then he fails to understand the nature of Oprah Winfrey viewers in 2013, and their Twitter accounts. Many anticipated there would be waterworks along with the anticipated confession that the seven-time Tour de France winner (if we can call him that? He was stripped of his titles) during his interview with Winfrey. Now, as more people watch and share part 2 of the interview, Armstrong does indeed break down in tears. The waterworks came when talked about his younger kids, who aren't yet old enough to understand the scandal. Armstrong said one day, "They'll learn." Especially if they ever go on Twitter.
