Loyal friend wins $7.2M jackpot at dead buddy's favorite casino
2/20/2013It's not every day you find a heartwarming gambling story, but here goes: Tyler Morris and his wife, small business owners from Michigan dealing with a busted roof at their office, bought a new car earlier this week just so they'd be able to attend the memorial of an old friend who died in South Mississippi. After the friend's funeral, Morris decided to play a penny slot machine at his buddy's favorite casino, the Palace Casino in Biloxi, in memory of his friend. He wound up hitting the jackpot to the tune of $7.2 million dollars. "Tyler said he felt his friend was watching over him and had blessed him with the big win," a casino rep said. Morris plans to pay off his car and repair his roof with the winnings. [Source]
