McD's employee still stuck at minimum wage after 20 years on the job
12/14/2012Working a job in the fast-food industry is difficult as it is. Imagine doing the work for two decades, and still earning minimum wage. Meet Tyree Johnson, a 44-year-old Chicago man who has worked for McDonald's for 20 years and still can't get 40 hours a week (though he works at two different stores) or earn more than $8.25 an hour. If you really want an illustration of the wage gap, Johnson would have to work about a million hours (more than a century) to earn the $8.75 million former company CEO Jim Skinner made last year. Guess we know whose arches are golden. [Source]
