Sorry, UFO believers — that old viral video has been confirmed a hoax
2/10/2013If you were holding that viral UFO footage from the California desert as your last bastion of alien proof against the naysayers, we deeply regret the following news: A visual effects specialist has come forward to debunk the famous YouTube clip. Aristomenis Tsirbas, who's worked on mega-flicks like "Titanic" and "Hellboy," says he created "UFO Over Santa Clarita" last year solely for the purpose of showing the world what CGI (computer-generated imagery) can do. Though many viewers had long hypothesized the UFO was probably created with CGI, what's wowing people now is the recent disclosure that EVERYTHING was faked, including the highway, the landscape and sunset. Feel a little like you're in a Wachowskis' movie? [Source]
