UK may force porn seekers to 'opt in' to see hard-core action
5/4/2012U.K. lawmakers are debating whether or not to implement a block on Internet porn sites that would make users "opt in" if they wanted to check out a little T&A online. The measure would require internet service providers to block pornographic sites by default, forcing users who still wished to view hard-core material to manually choose to see it. Proponents claim XXX sites are having a harmful effect on children and ISPs aren't doing enough to prevent minors from visiting them. The Internet Service Providers Association plans to challenge the move, saying it's too easy for users to get around, and considering how easy it is to hack a Twitter account, we bet kids will figure out the "opt in" option without a problem.
