Unamused by Stooges drug humor, CBS bans ad
4/3/2012CBS doesn't want the Three Stooges eye-poking the powerful pharmaceutical industry. The network rejected a "Three Stooges" ad from Fox featuring a mock prescription drug called Stoogesta that had been intended to air during the NCAA tournament. The ad, which has aired on other networks, starts off asking, "Ever dropped a bell on a nun, ripped the armpit hair off an old man or stuffed a live lobster down a loved one's pants? Then you may suffer from being a stooge." According to Deadline, CBS axed it in favor of other Stooges ads "due to the making light of prescription drug ads." Is there a drug in development that would give network execs a sense of humor?
Do you think the ad is funny?
