This pic of an airline seat got a travel writer booted off his flight
1 mins ago"Sit back and enjoy your flight," the United Airlines video monitor suggested. But a travel writer who took a picture of that screen was given the opposite option: get off the plane and find another flight. The 26-year-old, identified only as Matthew, says a flight attendant had him booted after he snapped that shot, telling him that he'd violated the onboard photo policy (printed in the in-flight magazine, for both people who read it.) "This was not an issue of privacy," Matthew wrote. "I believe the [flight attendant] couldn't fathom why I would want to take pictures of my seat and deemed me a security threat." He might have some insight: he'll become a million-mile flier later this year. [Source]
