University of Arizona now offers minor in hip-hop

Students at the University of Arizona now have the option of minoring in hip-hop through the school's Africana Studies minor program. The program is the brainchild of Alain-Philippe Durand, the interim director of the school's Africana Studies program. Durand realized that he and his colleagues had such a wide range of expertise in the hip-hop arts, across fields like film and music, that they could create enough courses for a minor.
