Man accused of ruining perfectly good Snickers bars with meth
7/31/2012For one happy-go-lucky traveler, Snickers apparently doesn't really satisfy. U.S. Customs agents seized 45 full-sized Snickers bars in a passenger's luggage after they discovered the chocolaty goodness of the bars had been replaced with the drug methamphetamine. A 34-year-old man flying to Tokyo from Los Angeles allegedly checked in the luggage containing the compromised Snickers bars, and was taken into custody before he boarded his flight. The meth was disguised as chocolate inside individually wrapped Snickers in a sealed Snickers cardboard box. Said the makers of Snickers, Mars Inc., "We are very disappointed by this unfortunate use of one of our brands." [Source]
