US ranked dead last in health-care comparison
8/8/2012You probably don't need any more convincing that the U.S. healthcare system is in shambles but just in case: A study published today by the nonprofit organization Commonwealth Fund ranks the United States dead last on a list of seven developed countries. It isn’t the first time – the United States was ranked poorly on a previous report by the agency; however, the most recent "F" grade measured America alongside Britain, Canada, Germany, Netherlands, Australia and New Zealand. Researchers found that even though Americans spend more than double what those other countries spend, we get greater inefficiency, lower quality and the least equitable access to care. [Source]
