I dont see what the problem is with Leo Manzano. I would have carried a Maryland & USA flag if I could have when I took my victory lap.

Leo Manzano can wave whatever flag he wants -- that’s the whole point of America. Jackass pundits be damned.

US runner criticized for celebrating with Mexican flag at Olympics

8/10/2012

The narrative around Leo Manzano’s silver medal in the 1,500 meters should have been on how unexpected and tactically brilliant it was (an American hadn’t medaled in the event since 1968), and how far he’s come since being brought as a child to the U.S. by his parents, who were undocumented Mexican immigrants. Instead, it’s on his carrying both U.S. and Mexican flags during his celebration. The chief critic was CNN contributor Ruben Navarrette Jr., also Mexican-American, who argues, “You have to choose which country you're going to represent. And you did. You made that choice, when you put on the jersey for Team USA.” [Source]
