Phonebook-ripping motivational speaker dials wrong number with team
9/8/2012Donnie Moore is a cross between Matt Foley and Hans and Franz, and it seems his motivational work with the United States men's soccer team has "Saturday Night Live" sketch written all over it. Manager Juergen Klinsmann brought in the Oakland A's chaplain to pump the players before their World Cup qualifying matches, and on top of the usual spiel Moore dipped into his bag of tricks to perform a few carnival-sideshow feats of strength. The soccer team promptly ran through a brick wall for him … and into one, losing to Jamaica 1-0. Time for Klinsmann to call in that guy living in a van down by the river.
