Utah gun group to give gun to 'lucky winner' on Christmas
12/25/2012Clinging to their Second Amendment princples, a Utah gun group is moving ahead with plans to give away a gun on Christmas Day to a “lucky winner” from the 7,000 who have “Liked” their Facebook page. The Utah Gun Exchange will give a Sig P2022 9 mm handgun with a mounted laser to an over-21 supporter who passes a required background check. The group started this month after Salt Lake TV station KSL stopped allowing firearms listings on its online classifieds following the shootings in Newtown, Conn. The gun exchange started its own firearms listing, despite the potential backlash in the wake of the massacre, saying guns are not responsible for mass shootings. [Source]
