Vegas hotels to transport gamblers via zip lines
4/11/2012The great thing about a city like Las Vegas is that it's not bound to concepts like "traditional" or "enduring." It's a city whose image relies on spectacle and garish displays. Thus, when you hear of a plan by MGM to connect two of its Vegas properties by zip lines, it's so ridiculous that it actually makes sense. MGM recently announced plans to connect the Luxor and Excalibur resorts with a "zigzag" of three lines that would rise as high as 339-feet above the strip. Another Vegas zip line opened at a downtown pedestrian mall in 2010 and has been popular. No word from MGM on admission fees, but it's Vegas, so guarantee it'll cost ya.
Las Vegas, love it or loathe it?
