Vet turns kitty’s legs, future around with risky operation
4/22/2012A few months ago, this cuddly, 8-month-old kitten was down and out. Born with backward-facing legs, the abandoned stray had never walked properly a day in his life. Though Corky wasn't deterred by his unique condition - he was a "happy, healthy, engaging, fun cat who dragged his back legs around" -- it was still hard to find adoptive owners, and he was near euthanasia in Fargo, N.D. But two women from a local shelter stepped in, found a vet who would operate (most refused due to the risk) and today Corky is a smiling, fuzzy ball of almost-walking cuteness with a long life ahead. We're rooting for you, Corky!
Leave your best wishes here for Corky.
