Viacom yanks shows off web to put heat on DirecTV
7/13/2012Cable and Dish Network loyalists gloating about DirecTV subscribers being denied Viacom channels in a fee dispute might want to hold the neener-neeners, at least if they like to stream shows on the Internet. After DirecTV told customers they could still watch their faves online, Viacom blocked full episodes of "The Daily Show" and "The Colbert Report" on its websites. That, of course, turns off the tap for cable types, too. That's not going to sit well when the shows return from summer break and the political campaign heats up.
