NFL star makes his Sandy Hook tribute more personal than most
12/16/2012Jack Pinto, one of the 20 schoolchildren killed in Friday's monstrous Sandy Hook massacre, was an avid fan of the New York Giants, and in particular of Victor Cruz. The star receiver learned this when he reached out to the Pinto family and learned they were thinking about burying their 6-year-old in Cruz's No. 80 jersey. So while the rest of the Giants have written "S.H.E.S." on their helmets in Sharpie for today's NFL game against the Falcons, Cruz's message is more specific: He's written the boy's name and the words "my hero" and "this one is 4 you" on the cleats and gloves he's wearing.
