New York Giants star has his ribs rearranged on brutal hit

Maybe Pittsburgh safety Ryan Clark was just tired of seeing Victor Cruz's post-touchdown salsa dance. For whatever reason, Clark absolutely destroyed the Giants player in the end zone yesterday, earning himself a 15-yard personal foul in the process. The hit was one of those that exist in the gray area between "technically legal" and "unbelievably dirty." Although Clark didn't aim for Cruz's head — or lead with his own — it still seemed like the intent to inflict some serious pain was there. Cruz wasn't Eli Manning's intended receiver, nor did he anticipate having his rib cage redecorated. Your interpretation will probably depend on what your definition of "clean" is — and your feelings for Clark and/or Cruz.
