Viral campaign convinces Mattel to produce bald Barbie
4/4/2012The virtual champagne is flowing at the Beautiful and Bald Barbie Facebook page, where a massive campaign has convinced Mattel to manufacture a bald friend for Barbie, complete with wigs and accessories. "About damn time Mr. Mattel. I'd buy a boat load of bald Barbies for my Granddaughters," posts Rosetta M. Bocconcelli, one of the 157,000 folks who have "Liked" the page. Rosetta will have to come up with other gift ideas for her grandkids, though: The new Barbies, scheduled for release next year, are headed straight into the hands of children suffering from hair loss. @TheDeepTruth tweets, "FINALLY! Now all those little girls with cancer can feel beautiful too."
