Virgin Mary turns up at construction site, in time for Christmas
12/14/2012A Christmas miracle? A Virgin Mary statue was unearthed last week on a construction site outside a Boston-area assisted living facility. Spotted in a heap of excavated dirt by a resident taking a stroll, the 4-foot concrete statue — which was found totally intact, is of mysterious provenance and is believed to have been underground for at least 20 years — was retrieved, cleaned up and brought inside, bringing hope to the home's denizens. One resident called it "wonderful," "beautiful" and "a precursor of good things to come." And the director of the facility noted that the statue's emergence, mere days before Christmas, "couldn't be more symbolic." Time for a chorus of "Hallelujah"? [Source]
