8,400 German kids stricken with nasty vomiting virus from school lunch

9/30/2012

While hungry U.S. schoolkids are striking for bigger school lunches, perhaps they should just be grateful they can keep what they eat in their stomachs. Germany's schoolkids are dealing with a massive vomiting virus that's afflicted 8,400 children after a food-bourne or waterborne illness made its way into school and day-care cafeterias. Horrified parents are dealing with a flood of vomit and diarrhea, but thankfully the sick kids are expected to recover within about two days from this moderate gastroenteritis outbreak. Anyone with unpleasant memories of puking at school can imagine what a horrific experience this must be for the kids … and the janitors. [Source]
