VW ad reminds us it's wise to remove your ski mask at the mini-mart

Who says wisdom can't be found in car commercials? Take this viral one from Volkswagen, for instance, which imparts the sage lesson that when stopping for munchies at a convenience store amid snowy mountains, you should always remove your ski mask before you go inside, lest you want to be mistaken for a criminal. The funny ad for the VW Beetle Convertible shows an obliviously masked dude enter a mini-mart and stock up on snack food, totally unaware he's terrifying everyone in his path. In addition to being pretty clever, the subsequent footage cruising through icy vistas with his buddies does a good job selling the cool drop-top, too. It's obviously no hover car, but we're impressed just the same.
