Wicked volleyball spike is lethal to players and spectators alike

Can't be long before they'll be issuing protective headgear to volleyball players — and full-body armor to the fans. Check out the old two-birds-with-one-stone play pulled off by this outside hitter for Holy Trinitiy Catholic High School in Iowa, who not only drilled a spike square into the grille of a rival Mount Union player, but managed to take out a spectator heading for the concession stand with the ricochet. The stunned player recovered after some some attention and returned to help Mount Union win a berth to the state tournament. But we're guessing the embarrassed spectator ran out the door and just kept going.
