Vulture accused of spying for Israel in Sudan12/11/2012
Israeli media have reported that a vulture discovered in Sudan fitted with GPS and solar-powered surveillance equipment has been accused of spying by Sudanese officials. The decidedly unattractive "secret agent" reportedly had a tag that read "Israel Nature Service" and "Hebrew University, Jerusalem," leading authorities in Sudan to conclude the bird was on an Israeli surveillance mission. An ecologist with the Israel Nature and Parks Authority has said the bird was indeed fitted with the suspicious equipment, but only for the purposes of studying migration patterns. No doubt the truth will only be revealed when the vulture in question reveals the gory details in a tell-all bestseller. [Source]
